Outline:

The Mission In Citrus is developing a comprehensive, no nonsense recovery program that offers a positive Christian atmosphere which is conducive to recovery of individuals with individual, group counseling, in-house meetings, interfaith meditation, education sessions, and a growth schedule based upon all aspects of recovery. Our treatment team is dedicated to providing the best possible recovery care for each individual during the their “homeless stay” here at the Mission In Citrus, while each individual searches for work and works on recovery as they strive towards their own individual life and a place of their own.

Here at the Mission In Citrus we strive to offer:

Psychiatric Care:  Our concern here at Mission In Citrus is to recognize an important balance in each area crucial to individual recovery and restoration of a normal life. Whatever is the addictive diagnosis of individual residents, out psychiatrist will be available to evaluate depression, bipolar disease, anxiety disorders, and other commonly occurring disorders on an as needed basis.

Individual and Group Counseling:  These sessions and groups with our trained counselors help to explore behaviors, issues, and personal triggers that have in the past led to substance abuse.  Through this healing process, you can come to terms with each of these issues and learn how to address them through a multi-process without the use of alcohol or drugs or medication.

Introduction to Our Multi-Process Groups:  As the basis of our rehabilitation program, individuals will attend a specialized multi-process program (still developing) meetings, interfaith meditation, book studies, and in-house meetings as part of your individual treatment plan.  You will also have the opportunity to get a sponsor and take your journey through this multi-process treatment plan.  Learning how to incorporate your individual multi-process program into your life is necessary for long-term addiction-free lifestyle.  The outside meetings acquaint you with the fellowship available to you beyond treatment.  This is an important element in assisting you in your transition to life outside the safety and structure of our treatment here at the Mission In Citrus.

A Positive and Supportive Environment:  Each of our shelters provide a serene setting that is conducive to your recovery.  Our staff, all of whom have personal recovery experience, welcome you to a safe and supportive family style environment.  You can focus on the healing process knowing that you are not alone and that there are other survivors.  Moreover, the Mission In Citrus is developing an outstanding network of meetings and fellowship providing additional recovery support.

Education and Study Sessions:  These groups cover many areas of education, including but not limited to:  drug and alcohol awareness, health awareness and education, exercise, life skills, assertiveness training, job search skills, and relationship skills.  Your return of your physical well-being is only the first step to recovery.  And our education groups round out our treatment services so you can build your individual foundation for spiritual, psychological, and social wellness.

Individual Attention: At the Mission In Citrus, our shelters offer a small and intimate setting to start the process of changing your life.  As recovery is often difficult, you will be assigned your own counselor who develops a recovery treatment plan with you and works with you on a one-on-one basis throughout your stay here at the Mission In Citrus to achieve the goals outlined in your plan.

Progressive Personal and Group Responsibility:  As part of the Mission In Citrus’s motivational therapy, residents are given opportunities to assume certain responsibilities for their recovery.  This method will help you to develop a new sense of respect for yourself and others, builds self-esteem and teaches the importance of working together to accomplish your goals.

Continuing Care:  We offer continuing care to provide support for you after treatment here at the Mission In Citrus and when you have established your own home.  This includes weekly process groups, process studies, speaker meetings, and social activities for former residents who have completed the rehabilitation program here at the Mission In Citrus.  Additional services will still be available.

Family Participation:  All addiction is a dependency.  It is an illness that has a profound effect on both the individual and his/her family.  At the Mission In Citrus Rehabilitation Program, we offer family members an opportunity to learn about the disease and begin their own process of healing through family education, family meetings, and special types of Al-anon.
